I wouldn't completely throw out Whitehall in the small mixed division....the show is pretty cool and best male Soloist three competitions in a row....

Rhythm Express performs before Prelim awards and Pure Elegance performs after the third finalist during finals in the arena then the choraliers will perform after the last finalists in the arena.

Usually Rhythm Express and Pure Elegance performs after the last daytime group in the PAC and the Arena, respectively. The Choraliers perform after the last finalist.

While Petal may be a whole different group this year, I don't think they'll be able to top Loveland or Marysville who have been solid for years.

Previous years' performance has little to do with groups this year.

Petal's show this year is absolutely incredible, and they have never been as good as they are now. I think that they have a great chance of being very successful at this competition. Their show this year impressed me the most out of any choir in the south (in my humble opinion),, so I hope that they can give all these other heavyweights a run for their money!!!

This is really shaping up to be way closer than I thought, especially between the top 3 groups...I've seen both Loveland and Marysville and they've got shows that are hard to beat, they're so fine tuned and energetic, but the presence of Petal makes this whole competition so unpredictable! Can't wait to see how it goes!

This competition is going to be sooooooo hard to call. Literally every one of the large division schools are amazing, make finals regularly. Ill put marysville, and loveland top two; but for the remaining 4 spots into finals it's anybody's game. Honestly all these groups are sooo good that I think it will come down to judge preference (theatrical//old school), and whether who brings their 'A Game' or not. This competition is most definitely going to be amazing. Best of luck to everyone competing, and I cant wait to see everyone's shows!

Can someone from Mississippi compare Petal's show this year to their one last year? Because based on their host performance that I saw from when Loveland went there in 2016, if it's anything similar to 2017 then they will have to dance VERY hard to top Marysville or Loveland, at least in choreo. I can't compare vocals as I don't remember exactly what they sounded like, but they had great harmonies! Excited to see southern groups this weekend again!

It's absolutely nothing like the show last year. Last year I couldn't finish the video on youtube. This year's show is simply amazing. Cant wait to see this competition.
