Can someone from Mississippi compare Petal's show this year to their one last year? Because based on their host performance that I saw from when Loveland went there in 2016, if it's anything similar to 2017 then they will have to dance VERY hard to top Marysville or Loveland, at least in choreo. I can't compare vocals as I don't remember exactly what they sounded like, but they had great harmonies! Excited to see southern groups this weekend again!
Not really. All groups are doing amazing this year, and Petal packs a big punch. Coming 2nd only to Attaché, It will be an interesting show no doubt. I think the real winners here will be the audience.
I agree with you that Petal does pack a big punch, but their competition quality simply doesn't match Marysville and Loveland who have beaten out groups such as Findlay, Fairfield, and Solon who are all having fantastics seasons. This is in comparison to Petal, who has beaten Pearl River Central and Jackson Academy. At Homewood's competition specifically, while they were 2nd only to Attache, directly under them was Brandon, who placed sixth at Glenwood under groups who I believe Marysville and Loveland could easily compete against (Wheaton South, Mt. Zion, and Decatur). Don't get me wrong, Petal has a fantastic show this year and are the best I have seen them in many years, but I don't see them placing higher than third here. Obviously this is subjective, but that's what all show choir predictions are.

Really excited about the Single-Gender division this year! It has a very diverse pool of groups in it. Also the middle school division. It's going to be a very entertaining Crystal Classic this year! Super excited to see Petal for the first time! It's always exciting to see groups come a long way and bring their shows to this competition.
Marysville performs at 12 am
They do not! The site wasn't allowing us to change their time, so three groups were performing at midnight! but it's all fixed now! Chesterton performs at 3 and Marysville performs at 4
