I wasn't going to say anything but here goes nothing:
I'm not sure what the first comment was because it was deleted but we all have a right to speak our minds, as this is a forum. With that being said, showchoir.com, as well as the show choir community, is a place of fun, positivity, and support. We can sometimes get caught up in the sport of competition, (which I love dearly and have been around since I was a kid), but let us not forget what truly matters, supporting each other, as we share our theatrical performances with one another.
Whoever made that comment, as she said, was really just joking so let's lighten up and allow each other to be ourselves here... if you don't like what someone says just simply down vote it and move on ;)
I love and appreciate each one of you and look forward to seeing your schools this season.
This is how I see this competition going down:
GC: Oak Grove (BV, BOE, BC)
1RU: West Jones
2RU: South Jones
3RU: Madison Central
4RU: Brandon
I could also see Grenada stealing a spot in finals. Keep in mind that I haven't seen Madison Central or the Jonese's yet.... I'm just very biased as I'm a Jones Countian. Haha. Still trying to make this competition so if you see me come hug my neck. Have fun, Yall.

I can guarantee you no one will bring any bad attitudes to any competition this weekend. I am sure when we all compete these comments will be the last things on our minds. Yes, show choir is a family and families don't always agree on everything. With that being said we are all entitled to our own opinion and we should respect those opinions whether we agree or not. I can assure you no one will carry this with them and let it get in the way of a performance or let it affect our relationships with one another. From personal experience I can tell you that these groups have some of these biggest hearts and best attitudes I've experienced. All of these groups are incredibly talented. Now let's all kick some butt this weekend!
Ahh! Okay so I'm going to attempt to comment my first "predictions" list. This is so hard because every group going to this competition is AMAZING!!!!! Okay here it goes...
Predictions:

1st Runner up-Oak Grove
2nd Runner up-Brio
3rd Runner up-Reveille
4th Runner up-South Jones/ West Jones

I have actually been to every competition in Mississippi so far and have seen nearly all of these groups. Coming from someone who has been in show choir and Been to countless competitions it's quite evident that just because one group has beaten another in a previous competition means in no way that they will beat them in the next. Groups have practiced more and it's a completely different judges panel. I'm entitled to my own opinion on groups and how I think they will do just as you are, but that in no way means that we should tear down other groups. We often forget that show choir competitions are a place where groups can come together and share there talents and love for music. West jones is a very talented group of young men and women just as the rest of these groups are. Me not placing south jones in my prediction was not in anyway supposed to insult your group, I saw your exhibition performance and I enjoyed your showed and loved your vocals and arrangements. I'm sorry that you do not agree with my prediction, but that is no proffesional way to handle this situation. Maybe next time just give it a thumbs down or post your own prediction. And I'm not a show choir judge I'm just some College student I have no idea how the outcome will be I was just making a prediction for fun.
I am sorry you thought I was being negative. That was not my intention. I am not in any way indifferent about who you do not have in your prediction, as you are entitle to your opinion. Thank you for handling this maturely. Lets end it.
Okay this is not the place for you to be trashing someone else's prediction, just because your group is not predicted to make finals. Predictions are meant to be good natured and fun not to be taken seriously.
Also West Jones is incredible this year and don't get enough credit as a middle mixed group and I would probably put them even higher up on the list.
So if you would please take your drama somewhere else than showchoir.com, specifically the feed for my school's competition, which all of us are kindly putting in several hours in order for you to compete in it, it would be greatly appreciated.
Truthfully, I meant the comment as a joke but I completely understand why it was taken negatively. I didn't take into account that these people don't know me and wouldn't understand that I meant it in good humor. However, my sincerest apologies to all who were offended. It wasn't my intention.
Dang. This is not good sportsmanship. Please do not bring the bad attitude to our competition, because I am very excited to see all of these groups! Also, I had a very enjoyable time at the South Jones Invitational, but it hurts my heart that my impressions of yalls character have changed. Personally I thought yalls show was great! But please keep your attitudes great too! Show choir is a big family. Lets keep it that way and support each other and compete in a healthy way.
With a prediction like this I would assume you do no travel to competitions or even look at the results. If you did you would know that Oak Grove has beaten Jackson Academy and Jackson Academy has beaten Grenada.
You have West Jones last yet West beat Madison Central, Brandon, and Grenada 1 week ago. You state that you can better predict finals because we are further in the season, so you moved Madison Central from last to 4th. Yet they didn't make finals at JP. The got beat by West and West girls group. this prediction could be correct, but the results of past competitions make that seem unlikely.
