Kablam! Thanks for that insight; it definitely helps to clear things up.

I think this goes back to having more transparency in show choir scoring - not necessarily handing out all of the raw numbers to everyone, but at least knowing what the rules are and how the judges got there. There has been a lot of confusion over things this year and just being up front about how a particular event is run would go a long way, I think.

Monona converts their ranks to points on the following scale

1= 21
2= 15
3= 10
4= 6
5= 3
6=1

So here's how each group ended where they did.

Fort = 21 + 21 + 21 + 10 = 73
OASC = 10 + 15 + 6 + 21 = 52
North = 15 + 1 + 10 + 6 = 32
Hersey = 3 + 6 + 3 + 15 = 27
Wahlert = 1 + 10 + 15+ 1 = 27
Mayville = 6 + 3 + 1 + 3 = 13
THANK YOU! I just kept thinking my math was wrong somewhere and it was driving me bonkers. Makes so much more sense now. ;)

I'll ask again - how did Hersey and Wahlert tie when their totals are not the same?

Monona converts their ranks to points on the following scale

Apparently fort and eau Claire are 8 points apart!
