I am not surprised. Reveille's competition record does not do the group justice (and their previous low placements have shocked audiences across the south). Way to go Madison Central!!! You deserved this one!

According to their Twitter account, Tarpon Springs won second place with best combo, best crew and the FAME award.

So if Madison swept (Yupey is probably 100% right).. the placement was

GC: Madison Central
1RU: Tarpon Springs
2RU: Uniondale

Oh wow I didn't even notice how early this was. I'm glad they didn't have these times last year or else our group wouldn't have been able to perform due to weather. We probably arrived in NYC like 11 that morning instead of the night before as planned.

2016 FAME New York Schedule

9:00am - Uniondale High School Rhythm of the Knight
9:40am - Tarpon Springs High School Syndicated Sound
10:20am - Madison Central High School Reveille
11:00am - Marian University Knight Fusion Singers (Host Group)
11:30am - AWARDS PRESENTATION


The three group lineup makes me cringe but at least it's something and not a cancellation....


Apparently the event location switch from Jazz at Lincoln Center to the David Geffen Hall, and the time switch (to earlier morning hours) DID end up discouraging other groups from attending after all.

I regret to inform that Fantasy, Illusion and TTones allegedly will no longer be in attendance as FAME has reportedly changed the location venue, timing, and registration price of this event. It's very unfortunate, and I hope that this does not discourage other groups from attending this competition.


Oh no :/ that's a bummer!

Two comps cancelled, and one change of venue for FAME so far this year...

The attendance list of groups is available on the FAME website. These events are still accepting groups, and so far, FAME New York has:

Madison Central Reveille
Tantasqua Radiance
Tarpon Springs Syndicated Sound


Hosted by: Marion University Knight Fusion Singers

Shepherd Hill Fantasy will be attending as well, we are just waiting to submit funds from people as this was an un-anticipated event for us. We're so excited!.

Does anyone have any information as to when the FAME event lineups will be released? It's been a month-and-a-half since the October 15th set date.

This will be the discussion topic for the first qualifier of the Show Choir National Championship Series at FAME New York. FAME is expected to release attendees at any time.
