This will probably be the most difficult prediction I've ever made, but here goes.
GC John Burroughs (BC)
1RU Waubonsie (BV)
2RU Hastings (BB)
3RU Carmel
4RU Buffalo Grove
5RU Wheaton North
Honestly, anything could happen, but I feel Burroughs and maybe even Hastings could take Waubonsie this year. Has there ever been another competition as incredibly stacked as this one in show choir history (with perhaps the exception of FAME Chicago 2008)??
Just got a hotel room booked Friday through Sunday for Alex and I! Can't believe this is already a couple of weeks away and man it's gonna be a great competition!
Predictions
GC:Burroughs (BC)
1RU: Waubonsie Valley (BV)
2RU: Hastings (BB)
3RU: Buffalo Grove
4RU: Wheaton North
5RU: Carmel
All of these are a complete toss up honestly so please don't take these too seriously
So I've decided to combine everyone's predictions again! I did it for Great River too and as a community we were pretty close!
GC: John Burroughs (BB) 1RU: Waubonsie (BV BC BB)
2RU: Hastings (BV BB)
3RU: Carmel (TIE)
3RU: Buffalo Grove (TIE)
5RU: Wheaton North
6RU: Naperville
For each placement GC through 5RU the respective points were given 21, 19, 16, 14, 11, 9.
So for example John Burrough's score was calculated using this method (7*21)+(4*19)+(1*16)+(0*14)+(0*11)+(0*9)= 239
Another example with Wheaton North's score (0*21)+(1*19)+(0*16)+(2*14)+(1*11)+(5*9)= 103
For BV, BC, BB I simply tallied how many times a user awarded the respective caption to each group.
Of course this isn't a perfect system as there were some early predictions but I wanted everyone who put in predictions be heard! It'd be pretty cool if as a community we could predict results! Good luck to all groups!
Oh, and I will ACTUALLY be updating the combined predictions as more predictions roll in
I think this site might crash if that actually happened....
Isn't 2008 Fame Chicago the only time WV and JB have faced each other?
That could be right? I'll have to double check sometime here soon or if someone wants to for me! ☺️ If anyone else sees anything incorrect please feel free to make changes! I'm sure I made mistakes along the way haha
Interesting line up this year! Waubonise has done really well continuing their winning streak! Will be interesting to see the outcome! Either way, First and Second will be between Waubonise and Burroughs!
Judge- I know Scott Hines will be Judging!

Okay guys can we legit like get an SCC and Co. viewing party/section in the gym??? Like let's have an adjudicating powwow with pizza and fondue and can we all wear white vans?? The hype is real. The pizza is real. The vocals are REAL. Lets do this guys!
This would be REAL. So very real. Honestly, I'd pitch in to get it catered. Can we have an SCC Lounge? I'd pay for that, too haha.
Some more FUN FACTS! :D This is just what I came up with by going back as far as I could using the SC.com results.
Oooh... that gives me an idea for a new feature!

Making the drive from Kansas City to attend this one! The lineup is just too deep to miss. Can't wait to see Waubonsie again.. it's been 2 long years without seeing them. JUST CAN'T WAIT!!!
I have compiled some fun facts on this comp and the groups competing over time. I am going to try and release a little bit as we continue to get closer to the comp.
Going back, on average, 4-6 years per group, these groups have competed at 173 competitions.
Out of those 173 competitions they have:
Won Best Vocals 92 times (53% of the time)
Won Best Choreo 78 times (45% of the time)
Won Best Band 41 times (34% of the time) *Took out WN & JB bc adult bands*
Won Grand Champion 88 times (51% of the time)
I love facts like this! Keep 'em coming!
Not only is Wheaton an insane line-up every year... the atmosphere in the gym is more of a party. It also doubles as a huge family reunion for students, directors, choreographers, clinicians, and show choir fans alike who are involved with show choir Camps Of America. It truly is the highlight of the competitive year and I can't wait to be back after missing two years in a row!

My dad and I just booked a hotel to come from Nebraska to watch this amazing competition. Also, I'm crying at the fact that I get to see Naperville North again. After their win at Muscatine, I'm obsessed with them and they're my new favorite show choir. Could not be more excited to just sit and watch show choirs all day. Not even going to take a stab at predictions because who knows how this one will turn out. Good luck to all and I'm counting down the days!!!!!
