whoever said it was an equal problem for everyone with the blowers... i dont know if any of the choirs there had an acapella ballad... but i would think if they did it would affect them more because there would be no band at all to cover up ther noise

By the way .. I have to make this compliment .. there is a girl from Fairfield, she's black and she's always in the front row normally in the center, she had a solo I think in the closer .. what an amazing performer!! Major props to her, I couldn't keep my eyes off of her she was so entertaining ...

That was the absolutely crazy dancer Ashley Essex (MY BAD ON THE SPELLING ERROR THE FIRST TIME) and that was her 3rd best performer medal this season. Yeah she's awsome we luv her!

Who was the "Outstanding Female Soloist" from Fairfield?????!?
336921

That would be the one, the only, the fabulous Katie Bruestle. She was so happy and we were too, cause she was really sad about not making solo finals.

the equallizer was that EVERYone had that problem so it really evened things out

I agree, but I never said that it was only on during one or two choirs. I just said that I noticed this loud noise while I was performing, probably because it was the beginning of our ballad and everyone was really quiet, so the loud noise was even more obvious to me.

I'm pretty sure thyey only turned the blowers on after and before choirs were performing.  THe sound you heard was probably not the blowers.
337399

That could be, but I know that it wasn't just me that noticed the noise and thought it was the machines circulating the air.

I think the machines that were circulating the air were too loud. I know it's not a problem that could be helped, especially since it was probably better to have air being circulated than everyone die from the heat. lol. But still, I know that during our ballad, I heard this really loud noise. pinch.gif

I think Linn Marr's problem at edgewood was I could not hear a thing, all I could hear was their band... and i don't think it is because the band was playing too loud, the mics just didn't pick them up for some reason.

I wonder if you are actually able to grow Mandy Moore...that would be oddly cool, no?

I've already expressed this to Claire and Kristen, I believe...but I really don't think I want to grow a Mandy Moore... " border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

As far as I am concerned, Linn-Mar is the third best group in Iowa. They have won a grand championship this year over very good groups, as well as competed excellent against the competition at Fort Atkinson and Mo-Show, so I don't know why you say they haven't been very good the past two years.
