Just wanted to make sure. I wasn't going to be home all day and wanted to check in on my phone from time to time. Wasn't worth it for just one or two groups in the am.

You have to pay for the live feed?
Yes, the live feed provided by Tri State includes a small fee. However, the feed itself is really excellent, very high quality.

Via Patrick, finalists are posted in performance order. Van Buren won Class C and would've qualified for Finals, but left early due to a state football playoff game (which they won 45-16). Additionally, Riverside arrived late due to bus issues so they performed in exhibition before the finalists. Major congrats to Shaker Heights for making Finals at their first competitive performance!

If anyone has full daytime awards, please share.

I wonder who'll win???
I think it's more strange that Riverside is in their own class - I can at least understand it with a single-gender group.

The encouraging news is that there has been an emergence of new Ohio single-gender groups. Aside from Fairfield PE, the majority of active Ohio single-gender groups, about 7 or so, were formed in the last two years. So hopefully we'll see some friendly competition in the single-gender ranks at other Ohio comps.

The performance schedule was updated via Ada's website and the only visible change is that Grove City "Class Act" is no longer in Tier I and will instead be competing in their own single-gender division.

Also, Grove City has a girls group! Woah!

Should be a fun fall comp!

It's been awhile. I haven't seen "Class Act" since 2006.... Wow!

The schedule and competition information, via the event website, has been posted above. Nitro isn't listed on the schedule for whatever reason, but the schedule itself is timestamped as last updated on 10/19. So if you have an updated schedule, please share; otherwise a schedule is better than no schedule at all.

For interested folks, Ada defined the classes as follows:

Class AA: Enrollment of 1301 or Higher (including single-gender choirs)
Class A: 801-1300
Class B: 401-800
Class C: 400 and Under

There's also the disclaimer that classes could change if one turns out to be smaller than the other, so not sure what will happen with lonely Riverside...

Yay Ada is a week away!

No Twinsburg at Ada this year. We are taking our little show and big hair on the road to Southmont the following week...
