Hastings always seems to be on top of their game, especially taking best vocals from a VERY strong vocal group like Waukee last weekend and ending their best vocal steak at an impressive 16 competitions in a row. They also haven't given anyone a reason to believe their band is anything less than stellar. The only place I think there is room for another group to cause problems is choreo, which Wheaton excels at. I was impressed with Fort Atkinson this year at Premiere and they sure showed us that they aren't here to mess around with last year's show. Best of luck to everyone!

I'm pretty sure we will be seeing appearances from both Wheaton and Hastings in finals but honestly the last four spots are a toss up.
There's a few obstacles at Onalaska's competition.
One being filling that gym with sound. There's a high ceiling and just an overall big gym. The only groups I've seen fill the gym with sound have been Hastings, Sauk Prairie, and Bloomington Kennedy
Also, because of the large gym it stinks for the groups going around meal times or early in the day. I've performed in that setting with barely three rows of people in the chairs and a near packed gym. Clearly the adrenaline between those two settings are very different.
Lastly, the risers are scary beyond belief, like scared for your life scary. I remember doing a simple side to side lean on the fourth riser and felt like I was going to be catapulted off the stage! I would not be surprised if Wheaton brought down the stage with some of their crazy choreo.
Nonetheless it will be a great day of show choir. I'm just trying to give a little bit of insight to this competition specifically. Good luck to all!
I've seen both Hastings and RIG at their preview shows but besides them these predictions are pretty much blind and based off of previous years!
GC: Hastings (BV and BB)
1RU: Wheaton (BC)
2RU: RIG
3RU: Bemidji
4RU: St. Francis
5RU: Fort Atkinson or Sauk Prairie
Hastings has always been one of my favorite choirs to watch so I may be a little biased lol but I definitely think GC will be either them or Wheaton! I can't wait to see how this comp plays out
I think this will be a toss up between Wheaton and Hastings. I would expect Wheaton to take BC with Hastings taking BV. I couldn't call BB. But going off of recent history I could see Wheaton taking BB.

The *only* reason I'm not attending this competition is because of a wedding I'm going to. Buuuuut it's only like a 5 minute drive away so.... But seriously, this looks like a stacked competition and don't you think for one second I won't be checking updates during the vows
