Wheaton North is not attending (although they were at one point- but Iowa's band rule regarding only one adult is the reason they ended up going elsewhere)... you meant Naperville North, which is not in the same city as Wheaton Warrenville South.
I'm in the Naperville North combo and while we are not technically in the same town, Wheaton Warrenville South is only about 7 minutes away from NNHS and we do a clinic with them and Waubonsie Valley every year.

Wow...this is a tough one. I could see this going many ways. I think a lot of these groups will be pretty evenly matched. It's going to be a battle just for someone to take that last finals spot. Good luck everyone. Wish I could watch this one!
Super excited to know that I'll be coming to this tomorrow for the day round! Me and Jarod are pulling double duty tomorrow and coming here during the day and then heading to Linn-Mar for finals. This is a really deep field and I could see a lot of combinations of groups making finals. My predictions are.....
GC: Waconia (BV, BC)
1RU: Naperville North (BB)
2RU: CR Jefferson
3RU: IC West
4RU: Davenport Central
5RU: SF Washington
I think Waconia should have it here, but it'll be close. I think those next three spots could go in any order honestly and I could see the last two be in any order of Davenport Central, Prospect, and SF Washington. Should be a fun day tomorrow!

That is correct, Jefferson has a Beauty and the Beast show this year, and they definitely execute it much better than they did with their Snow White show in 2014.
We certainly will miss CR Washington. We changed our date from the fourth weekend to the third last year (also Linn Mar & Waukee's date)... and saw the interest in this competition spike. Washington wanted to return to Linn Mar which is totally understandable... hopefully they will return next year!
Yes, we have an agreement with Linn-Mar that we will go to Supernova if they will come to MoShow, and it's an every-other-year thing right now. Hopefully we will come back next year! It feels weird not to be attending!

1) IC West hasn't competed here since before 2008, AND has a new director this year.
2) I have never seen Wheaton North perform, but if they're on par with their Classics cousins (which I'm sure they get tired of hearing), that's going to make for a great weekend.
3) Kevin Chase has great representation! IC West, Waconia, CR Jefferson... Get it!
4) What no CR Wash threw me off, I had to do a double take!
I've been out of the game a little while, so that's my grain of salt.

A few corrections... Iowa City West has never attended Muscatine. Muscatine held their first competition in 2009. And yes, they do have new directors. The new director of "Showtime" is Jeff Knutson, and the new director of "GTC" is David Haas who moved up from the prep position... he has been at West now for four seasons and has had every single member of "GTC" in his show choirs and or choirs at some point.
