Ok first off i am a 3 year member of ESPRIT and out of the three years i have been in it and all the year i have watched show choir i have never felt this way. i feel that we as a group have pulled together through all the hard times we have had!! But we have never lost sight of the major goal we set for our group which was to win a grand champion at a show choir contest because in 20 years our group has never gotten one so we worked our ass of and we got it... it made ppl mad becasue they said we did not deserve it.... so that lead us to our second goal to prove to the ppl that we beat that we do in fact deserve it so we went to St. Clairsville and we bet those two groups again for a second grand champion. so in one year we got two grand champs!!!! but take this the wrong way i am not say that you should kiss our feet like ppl to clinton becasue we won 2 times. i am just sticking up for us because we do not perform at a 9th place level and we have not place that low since i have been in it... like i said i just think people are mad becasue we have beaten them this year ****cough**** ****PIKE*****  ****cough**** and to shelbyville i love u all and i really like your show!!!!!
***** these coments should not reflect the entire group of ESPRIT they are mine and mine alone so if these coments offend anyome PM and we can work it out!!! i do not want anyone to not like us becasue of one comment one person for our group has made!!!
****ESPRIT**** i am a proud member!!!! i want to tell everyone of you i am proud of you for everything we did it was amazing. i know we could not have done it without 2 amazing directors.. REMBER ESPRIT 2005.... i love you all... ALL

It's not the placement that you should worry about...that has to be one of the most difficult competitions this year. All of the schools were awesome and had a chance. Personally I would have liked to have gone home with a trophy...but I was content with 8th place, knowing that it was really close and we did our best.

And thanks, I thought your show was pretty awesome too!

Thanks for the compliment.

We tried our best at Edgewood and I'm glad we entertained you and that you liked the show.

I'm sure he meant that that's about the level they usually perform at...they weren't worse than normal or anything like that.

Do you have some sort of a problem with Southwestern?  Would you mind explaining what you meant by this comment?
336912

I believe, that if you think about it long enough, you will realize what my problem, if any, is with Southwestern. And out of common sense (my director and choreographer read this) and common decency, I will not blatantly say why.

QUOTE(cjtorline @ Apr 11 2005, 04:28 PM)
That sounds kind of sarcastic - I am just learning about competitions and forums, but what do you mean by that? " border="0" alt="blink.gif" />

It's really hard to say whether that post was sarcastic or just dead true. What I meant when I said it was, "no, they were not off."

I saw it! lol.

I even talked to it. haha. I mean...him.

He was in the cafeteria when you were talking to Jeena and me, because we were talking to him while you were getting your food.

Does anyone have the information for ordering video's from Edgewood?  I would love to order a tape.  Is the tape for all day or just certain groups?  Thanks all!
336930

The videos are available from Rutherford PhotoVideo;(217)877-1207. You can pick one group, or all groups.

I'm new to this but as a newbie to the show choir world i thought this comp. out of all the ones i've been to this year, was one of the hardest i've ever seen. laff jeff was spectacular and i love their closer, especially the costumes... An that girl WHEW!! THey definitly deserved the win that they got!! One other group that i thought was a amazing was crete!! THey had so much clean choreo that was so entertaining to watch. I loved their show!!!!! I thought Crete shoulda been up there with laff jeff.

Anyway, this comp was sooooooo fun!!!!!
I love show choir!!!!
WOOOOOO HOOOOOO!!!!!

I just wanted to say congratulations to everyone! There wasn't even a 100 point spread between first and 9th place...that's awesome! Half the time there is that much of a spread between two adjacent placings...so this really was a difficult competition and I think everyone did a phenomenal job!

Did southwestern have an off day??? They are great this year. Kinda odd not to see them in one of the top spots.
336827

Southwestern had a GREAT DAY, but the judges there at Edgewood must have just not cared for our show. I am an involved ESPRIT parent and thought our group did an awesome job and I am so proud of all of them, but show choir is such a subjective thing (like any art form) and you have to go along with the judges' decisions! Thanks for the chance to say what a great job ESPRIT! did - trophy or no trophy!!!
