So happy I got to attend this competition again. Really takes me back a ways and made me happy to see such a competitive field at my home competition. Nights like these make me happy to dive back into this crazy world.
Ps my girlfriend is jealous her high school didn't have show choir because, "I want to dance in all the pretty dresses."
I got no idea how this one is gonna shake out. All I'll say is that it probably won't be the same as daytime placements and that Johnston will get the GC with BV.

An extremely good job to all of the finalists! You have done so well and it is a great accomplishment to even make finals at a competition like this one! It has been a bloodbath and I know the results were a tight finish!
Omaha Westside- The best costuming by far! You guys lived up to you colorful name! Your costumes matched up with all of your songs, it made everything about your show better! Your costuming gives you a much better edge against the groups who did not have costumes that matched their song they were performing.
Linn Mar- You killed it! Vocals were by far the best I have heard tonight until you performed! Very nice energetic performance all through the show! You guys are such a good group and you help us and the rest of the CR groups make Cedar Rapids a city to be feared at competitions around the Midwest!
Johnston- You guys sounded really good before you performed! Very nice tall choral sound! Wow!!! You have a slaying opener! The male sound is above the standard! You present yourself in such a way that only a powerhouse group can! Bravo!!!
I'm so excited to watch night rounds. I got some fellow Xavier kids to drive a car down so we can watch! Our hearts go out to Kennedy, you guys are awesome. Represent Cedar Rapids well Linn Mar! (We know you will ) Leave it all on stage guys!
Seeing Waconia at BK Gold, I knew they were gonna be a threat coming into this comp. Good luck to all schools in finals. And also remeber if you don't make finals, your show is still amazing, this is just a SUPER tough comp!
Linn-Mar continues to prove why they deserve all these Best Vocals awards. Great job you guys!! SO much improvement since I saw them at Ankeny Centennial.

I have heard people rave about this comp for a while but it's seriously legit. Davenport is a really cute little city. Super glad I made it out to this one. Iowa City West is up next! Running a minute or two behind— lots of sets pieces at this one.
