How deep is Dutch Masters this year? In the last two years, the HS groups on stage this weekend have performed in over fifty (50) finals rounds. All of the six finalists from last year are back, as well as three time Dutch Masters champs Benton Community Celebration Co. and perennial finalists West Branch (CJ&U45) and West Liberty (Voices Unlimited), as well as 15 other groups vying for their place in the finals. Competition should be intense!
And the weather forecast for Saturday? 57 and sunny. Boom!!!!

Speaking of hardware...there are 89 different trophies to be handed out this weekend. Class placement, Best Band, Best Choreo, and Best Vocals in each class, Star Performer for each group, Best Soloists, and six finals trophies, so my apologies in advance to the showchoir.com crew for making you work overtime inputting results!!!!
No, but really we're happy to post any and ALL results and captions! You've always done a fantastic job reporting information to us on here so we're super appreciative.
It's the Best Week of the Year....Dutch Masters Week!
We're looking forward to hosting 30 fantastic groups this Friday/Saturday. Dutch Masters is packed with competitive groups this year, so we are excited to see who takes home the hardware. With this level of competition, it will be a major accomplishment just to make the finals on Saturday night!

Mark your calendars for the Dutch Masters Show Choir Invitational, to be held on February 19 and 20, 2016. This competition features some of the best small school show choirs in the Midwest, and annually attracts a full roster of competitors from Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, and Missouri.
Friday night, February 19th, is the middle school competition, featuring competition in categories for Auditioned and Non-Auditioned ensembles.
Saturday, February 20th, is the high school competition, with daytime caption awards in each class (1A, 2A, 3A, and Prep) for Best Band, Best Vocals, and Best Choreography. The top six (6) scoring groups during the day on Saturday advance to the finals that evening.
Your hosts are Pella High School show choirs, AcaPella and Bravo, and our middle school show choir, PellAdrenaline. This contest is known for outstanding performances, a beautiful auditorium (which just received a $150k+ overhaul of the sound system), wonderful food, and production services by the Blue Sky video team. What keeps people coming back to Dutch Masters each year, however, is the hospitality our guests receive. No matter whether your group is grand champion-caliber or not, your students and supporters will feel appreciated throughout your stay in Pella.
