Just when I think I know the world of show choir a competition like this puts me on my head. I know we all like to do our little predictions beforehand and we like to relish in the fact that we may know enough about show choir to occasional get things right, but I gotta say, I live for humbling days like these. I got the captions right, but for sure not the placements lol. That aside, a few words.

First, congrats to Wheaton on bringing a taste of Illinois to us. Next, Congrats to Beavercreek, its been amazing to watch you grow these past couple years. Thirdly, congratulations to Solon.

I have been privileged enough to attend Solon's competition as a student, compete alongside their talented kids, and know them as friends of mine. These kids are part of the sweetest, most humble group of people I know, and I don't think, whatever the results are, that anyone from Solon would be purposefully disrespectful to anyone. I've been at competitions where groups are downright classless, and from the way it was described to me, it was more like they were trying to get out of Wheaton's way so that they could have their moment on stage. That's all I have to say other than that I think we should avoid starting drama with suspiciously short posts about people being rude without providing any evidence, or calling people out as "not being taught humility" when you weren't even present to watch what took place. It's true, some groups are more disciplined than others, but please, save your judgments for show choir confessions if you must make them at all LOL, because at the end of the day this is all about kids honing their craft and having fun. Congrats again to all!

Hey you guys so I am the kid that you guys think left the stage early. I would like to apologize if it came off that way, but I didn't mean it at all in anyway to be rude. I LOVED WHEATON. I got some of their numbers. They were so nice to me and I was nice to them. I just didn't know that I was supposed to be on stage for longer. I had no clue this was my first time presenting awards. Again I want to deeply apologize if it came off as I was being rude I didn't mean to. I really don't want my misjudgment to reflect poorly on my group it was my fault

You're more of a man than I for owning up to it

If that's true, it doesn't surprise me...some groups are not taught humility, and are never told they should step their game up, and could possibly be beat.

It happens. Have respect for the group that wins GC and let them have their moment. BAD SPORTMANSHIP RUINS PROGRAMS, gives the director and CHOREOGRAPHER A BAD REP. Which isn't saying much here.

Congrats to Beavercreek!!! You've came so far over the last two years, and most importantly congrats to Wheaton Warrenville!!!!!

As a Solon alum, I can say that this was most definitely notintentional. Solon kids are taught to always be gracious no matter what happens, and I think we have certainly proven that in the past. You, sir, are the one being rude here.

So I think both sides are a little in the wrong here. Emotions are high during the results, and sometimes kids make decisions and don't realize anyone will be upset! Was it right for them to leave the stage? No, it wasn't. But you can't say it was intentional by any means. You also can't say that it wasn't. And it doesn't truly matter; Mr. Lewis is a great director, and he will deal with anything if it's necessary, I'm sure.

I think everyone should be aware of how they phrase what they're posting on this site...we've ran into this a lot in the past week.

And remember that it was a really great competition. Like super awesome and super close.

I really admire the growth of this Ross program in the past couple years. Sam has done fantastic work visually and Sterling has them sounding great. It's a beautiful show this year.

I completely agree. I have a feeling this group will be a major contender in the future.

Ross was a nice surprise during daytimes. I was glad to find out they made finals.

How rude that the Solon kids left the stage when Wheaton was announced as Grand Champions.

I love to point out that Beavercreek had five or six guys in their group three years ago (2013), and now they have over 20. That's astounding!
