No wonder Clinton isn't competing.

I'm sure he decided Clinton wouldn't go before he was asked to be a judge.

Alex, I'm pretty sure Scott was just trolling in that post. Wouldn't be the first time. Besides he's wrong anyways, she took Horizon to FAME in 2010 and placed well. She's certainly no stranger to FAME or the show choir world.

Huh?? She's taken one group to FAME and placed 19th! LAST PLACE!!
Not really sure if you meant this in a rude way, or if it simply came off like that. She took Horizion to FAME Hollywood in 2013 and received 2RU, losing to John Burroughs and Danville, two VERY good groups. Either way, Katie Kouns is a dignified director with many years of education, adjudication, and a GRAMMY nomination under her belt.

*Insert "you don't say" meme*

This Nationals Event is SO STACKED... And I have the pleasure of knowing that our very own choreographer (Greg Bussiere) will be a judge at such a prestigious event. From MA- we love you!!

GC- Los Al (BV BC)
1RU- Loveland
2RU- Marysville (BB)
3RU- Westside
4RU- Oak Grove
5RU- Prairie
6RU- Jenks
7RU- Brea Olinda
8RU- Elkhorn South
9RU- Fort Atkinson
10RU- Carroll
11RU- South Jones
12RU- ALA
13RU-Uniondale
14RU- Cypress
15RU- Lafeyette Jefferson
16RU- Norwell
17RU- Smith Cotton

After posting this I realized ALA beat Jenks with a pretty clean sweep earlier in the season ( I know things change but they won't change too drastically I'm sure) so I am putting jenks lower and ALA higher but it's too messy to change the whole thing now

How is ALA competing at Nationals if they didn't go to a Fame qualifying event? There show is amazing and I think they'll do extremely well, but they've only gone to one competition all year and I don't know how they qualify.
I'm pretty sure ALA was the only choir signed up for FAME Hollywood, so when that event was cancelled - FAME extended the Nationals invitation to them.

You can't forget groups like Brea Olinda, Jenks, ALA, and Prairie.
What's really notable of this competition is a lot of the groups could be wild cards. Jenks has always been one that has never competed much but always does well. I could see them placing high. Maybe not in the top 3, but probably close. Brea is also another one that has had pretty good success at Fame competitions. Same for ALA, who are harder to predict what with not competing at a Regionals qualifier after the LA one was cancelled.

A free live feed though is great news. Get hype.

In general it seems like the Ohio schools all faced the "other" Ohio schools and not the big ones, so I don't really know how Ohio stacks up.
It was a really strange year in Ohio. The top tier groups in OH didn't compete against one another as much as the past. Some of that's them attending each other's competitions (Loveland, Marysville, Fairfield, Twinsburg, Solon all host their own well-respected comp), Loveland went to Indiana three times this year, some others faced obstacles like winter storms/comps being cancelled, FFE being sidelined and filling their schedule with mostly IN comps... so yeah schedules didn't really line up much this year for various reasons. So I'm not sure those of us in OH know how Ohio stacks up either.

Obviously Los Al is a big favorite right now, but I'm really interested to see how the Ohio schools fit into the equation. Naperville North beating Loveland at Fairfield was a big shock to me. In general it seems like the Ohio schools all faced the "other" Ohio schools and not the big ones, so I don't really know how Ohio stacks up. I also will be interested to see how Omaha Westside fits in. They lost to Johnston and then got 4th in Orlando (one of the toughest competitions of the year). They are THE Nebraska powerhouse, but they tend to not compete as well outside of the state. You can't forget groups like Brea Olinda, Jenks, ALA, and Prairie.

It will be a great competition!!!!

The Show Choir National Finals will be broadcast via a live feed at no cost. Access can be found on the day of each event at www.showchoirs.org. We have a great lineup of competitors this year and wish each of them the best as they compete for the Sequin Cup or Show Choir Cup and title of National Champion!

Will you marry me? :hearteyesemoji:

When I heard that a few of those groups weren't coming, I was like "Eh... Not worth paying for the live feed this year." But looking at the full schedule now, I know I'm going to do it. I can't miss out on 12 hours of some of the best groups in America! It should be a great competition, and really anything could happen!

And woohoo! Rooting for my southern groups, Oak Grove and South Jones (the only ones I've seen live this year too)!
