Finally got back on schedule and awards should be in less than half an hour. It looked like Blackout was missing quite a few women (state dance?). Resonance performed amazingly both vocally and choreographically. Titanium had quite the energy pickup from last week.
The competition is currently running behind... Ambience should be going on now but Elkhorn South Power Surge hasn't even set up yet. Apparently something medical is happening back stage.

I believe this is going to be a great competition! This is only my personal opinion so I dont expect everyone to agree with it, but im excited to go up against Elkhorn South again!
I tried as hard as I could to accurately and fairly judge how I predict this competition will go. I thought I'd share my findings. Now, I definitely know that every competition is solely based on a mix of technique and judges' opinion, but I thought that I would try to compare the Mixed Tier 1 schools based on times they've met, who've they beat and who they lost to (of each of the schools attending.) Basically, I added a point when they placed higher than a school in that category, and subtracted one when they did not! Whoever had the most points was the winner (solely based upon performance compared to the other competing schools!)
Here is my list:
GC: Blackout (Elkhorn South)
1RU: Titanium (Papio South)
2RU: Resonance (Lincoln Southwest)
3RU: Infinity (Millard North)
4RU: Express (Lincoln East)
5RU: ????? (No idea who could take this spot, too many great groups to compare!)
The places that I'm up in the air about are between Blackout and Titanium, as each are fantastic shows and programs. They both tied in my system, but I placed Blackout at the top solely based on them being out longer. But Titanium placed very well at their first competition and definitely will not back down from a challenge put up by Elkhorn South! I'm also conflicted about the 5RU spot, seeing as there are SO many amazing shows that could fill that spot (prep, women's or mixed!)
Again, this was based on this little simple number system I did and not personal opinion! But we can all agree that this is going to be an amazingly fun competition and definitely very exciting to watch.

This is really tough because LSW, Lincoln East, Elkhorn South, Millard North have almost all beaten each other and lost to each other at least once this year... but everyone has improved so much from recent years nobody should be upset with how they place
