Just so people are aware, there was actually a tie for third runner up between El Paso-Gridley and Center Point-Urbana. To break the tie, they went to daytime vocal score (I believe), which gave it to EP-G.
On top of that, I heard it was a pretty close finals to begin with - something like two points between people. I know that Davenport North and Pekin were super close - one judge's ranking made the difference.

I'm interested to see them if they do compete - I know when I was a freshman or sophomore they were trying to make it to competitions and didn't end up being able to attend.
Same! It will be a fantastic way for them to get out and really experience show choir beyond showcase of excellence. I do remember one year they couldn't afford too compete and others they've been busy doing IMEA and local performances and just decided not to. Also their director in past years just hasn't want to compete because of cost. So hopefully works out so they can attend.
If Quincy High School makes it to Fort Madison's invitational this will be their first competition in nearly 12 years!

Fairfield, IA has a show choir now too?!?!?! This will not get confusing at all
They competed here last year. I remember adding them to the database and laughing about it.
It's especially tricky as Fairfield, OH and Fairfield, IN are in relatively similar circuits. Probably a good thing Iowa is a ways away, because if Fairfield, IA was competing in the same circuit as the other Fairfields it would be too much to handle. ALL the Fairfields.
