Oooh, Women's Tier I results are exciting! I bet Brea's girls groups going head-to-head again at Bonita Vista next week will be a bit of a friendly rivalry after tonight.
Anyone know if there are still tickets available for the second session? Also if there are no tickets is it acceptable to sit on someones lap/the ground?... I think its a reasonable solution lol
I have nothing better to do on Valentine's Day so the clear answer is going to a competition

I heard it is sold out. However, you never know if someone will come with an extra ticket.

Hey Keresey!
I emailed the director about a week or so ago and he said they were close to selling out. Hopefully that's not the case!
Disappointed Los Al isn't going to this competition anymore (assuming they were in the first place), though not as much as Burbank not going to SoCal. I kind of dug the idea that we'd see how the Big Three would go competing against one another at the start of the season, then once again at the end with their sets all perfected.
Hard to know how this competition will go though. Grand champion could go to either Burbank or John Burroughs, never know with them. I'd probably wager that Brea Olinda will take third. Bonita Vista is the wildcard though, they were great last season and I'm interested in seeing how well they'll do going against these other groups.

I'm not in there this year for reasons to be kept confidential, but to the sound of things, everything is in shambles. Most of the choir graduated last year, people quit, and now it's a bunch of new students. Not to mention the director is retiring and we were originally told that there would be a new one coming in but even now, we have not heard back from the district or anyone. If anything, if things don't run smooth, don't give the kids a hard time, they're all new to this shenanigans we all call "comp season." In fact the kids haven't gone to competitions nor have they talked about one.
@Häakon not even Chanteurs OR Harmonix or ready this year. Like a week or so away is Pow wow and they're going to do what Diamond Bar does at their own competitions: a few preview numbers. But to any competition participants, really just don't give the kids a hard time since this is literally their first competition and they have no idea how things work.
Such a great line-up for being so early in the season, but like you said Häakon I wonder how many shows will be "actually" ready. Hopefully I can snag some tickets!
The schedule has been posted; still working on getting performance times. However, the complete division list and performance order is updated. Great to see so many strong groups attending Arcadia this year... now we'll just have to see if the shows are actually ready by then (the collective midwest is rolling their eyes).
That's their 2014 schedule. I do know there is a lineup for Arcadia for 2015, but I have not been able to get my hands on it. Hopefully I'll get it Monday. I think Arcadia has a total of 25 groups competing - looking to be a great start to the 2015 season!!
Ew, thanks for pointing that out... heads will roll! Haha. I found someone with the current sheet; just trying to get ahold of a copy now that it's the weekend.
Someone posted this as the Tier I lineup (clearly Arcadia hasn't gotten the memo yet that 'A A A' is dead.

However, in another thread Michael said Bonita Vista would be competing at Arcadia as well. I'm guessing with them onboard that's probably a complete list of the division, but I don't know about anything else yet. Still, that's a great lineup for so early in the California season.
