YES he was. I got a little bit ahead of myself. A lot on my mind at this point of the season.
I don't care if this competition is considered to be the best one this year or not, I'm still so excited and pumped and it sounds like everyone else is too!
I'm thinking southwest probably ends up in 5th like most are predicting but I hope they do something crazy and jump a few spots. If it helps anyone for a comparison with understanding Totino a little better, they got 5th at Omaha westside's competition that southwest won.
I think that there is a chance but like what Cohagen said Lincoln SW is a really great group and they definitely won't go down without a fight! And also going along with what Cohagen said, the level of performance of these groups just keeps rising every week, but the question is how much every week, so who knows who will beat out who or retain their reputations. In response to the question of Johnston vs. Totino Grace, I haven't seen Johnston this year yet, but I saw Totino at Davenport North and in my opinion this isn't Totino Grace's strongest year so you could possibly beat them, who knows! My predictions still stand as follows:
GC: Wheaton
1RU-3RU: Kennedy/Prairie/Ankeny (I think they could be in any order)
4RU: Lincoln SW
5RU: Johnston/Totino Grace/Sioux City East (Any of them could claim this spot and possibly even challenge Lincoln SW for 4RU)
The order of the groups as well as the caption awards will be so hard to predict because of the many high quality groups attending, even the prep competition will be a good one! I am so pumped for this competition and can't wait for this weekend!

Definitely possible. But SW has been getting better and better this season, growing leaps and bounds. At least that's what people are telling me... I haven't gotten to see them since Midwest Cup. I don't think they'll win (not by any stretch of my wonderful imagination) but I think they'll do quite well. Then again, the same can be said for any of these groups!
I think, for a large part, prediction for the rankings of this competition are futile. There is so much that can (and does) change from week to week - especially with these groups. I'm excited to see how everybody does!
I believe 2-4th could be a toss up. Prairie has beaten Ankeny, but Ankeny always comes back stronger later on. Questions about Totino, usually a great group, but havent seen them yet this year. Happiness is good , but are they good enough to dethrone Wheaton finally? For now those are my predictions!
