SDFKAJSDFIJASDLF (<--- that was an f bomb) Of course I know we're talking about Benton, not Big Dance. I've only been to Benton like 5 or 6 times and won my only solo award there haha. It's one of my favorite competitions!!! MAJOR FAIL on my part. But in my defense, all y'all need to stop competing against each other No, I really have no excuse, I wrote that comment in the afternoon haha
I understand that some of these predictions(Jacob's) are a little strange, but I fail to understand the basis of the negative votes. If you disagree with them that's great, and I understand, but I should see at least 6 other predictions on this topic then. That being said, the only one of these shows I've seen live is Kennedy, and I was very impressed with them. I have heard great things about West's show, and I'm sad I most likely won't be able to see them Saturday. I saw Prairie on a TV at Davenport North, and while the technical aspects of the signing and dancing were excellent, I found parts of the show to be a bit dull.

ya the last time a Kennedy group was at Benton was Chanteurs when i was a sophomore (2011) but i am excited for it i think it will be a fun competition! except for the fact i have to wake up at like 4:30 am to do 4 girls from protege hair the things i do for my sister and her friends...

I believe prep groups only make finals as part of the 5 Open Class spots. I don't think they count as the 1A, 2A, 3A spot. At least, that's always how it has been in the past.
Very excited for this weekend! Eager to see some new groups I haven't seen this year, as well as seeing how others have improved their shows. It's going to be a great competition for sure.

Correct. TOC's rule is that the top 1A/2A/3A score advances to the finals, along with the top 5 overall scores from the Open/prep classes. If the top 1A/2A/3A school also has a top 5 overall score in the daytime round, then the 2nd highest scoring 1A/2A/3A group also advances to the finals (which would then have 2 1A/2A/3A schools, plus 4 Open class schools).
