I wonder if BG wouldn't go if they're top 3, because Nationals is the same weekend as their musical

They aren't going

I hear Urbandale wouldn't be able to attend Nationals so from what the FAME person clarified on the New York board who ever gets 3rd RU will allowed to attend Nationals if they want.

We're looking forward to it. FYI...we're discussing taking away all of the kids' phones so they won't be tempted to try to use them during the opera.

Is there a live elephant in the show?

No - sorry, no live animals. We do however have a very large tenor! (same thing?!?)

The cell phone idea might be a good one, though they do a pre-show announcement about turning off all phones etc. But there is a lot going on, and it's loud - I wouldn't be surprised if the kids won't be interested in their cell phones during the show.

Here's a YouTube clip anyway:

And I'm looking forward to seeing YOU all Saturday!

Thanks! Enjoy the opera Thursday night - I'm in the middle of Act3 right now, this Aida is amazing!

GC: Buffalo Grove (BB, BC)
1RU: Urbandale (BV)
3ru:CR Prairie

This one is gonna be very close...I just don't know if Urbandale's show has the explosion that BG's does...
Good Luck to all!

Predictions that will probably be wrong:

GC. Urbandale (BV)
1RU. Buffalo Grove (BB,BC)
2RU. Cedar Rapids Prairie

Top two could go either way. Both groups are having great seasons.

I think Cedar Rapids Prairie will be the third spot, but Crete Monee could make a case for that spot too. (FYI: I'm not really familiar with Castle and Broken Arrow.)

*Note I have only seen Urbandale and Prairies shows via internet and nothing of BG's show.

Very excited to see Praire and Mr. Sands take on some Show Choir giants in Buffalo Grove and Urbandale along with other very established groups! Kick some butt for Cedar Rapids!

I'm gonna say it'll be between BG and Urbandale. But I think BG will take it.

Is there an exact schedule for this yet? I didn't see anything on their web site, but then again I could have been looking in the wrong place for all I know!

Yeah, but I'm not too surprised considering that the national championship will be held in Chicago as well. Choirs that are serious about attending the final after qualifying are probably choosing either a more local (like Los Al for Fame Hollywood) or different qualifier to get a cool, different experience for students. While the Fame Chicago qualifier may not be completely stacked, Fame Orlando and Fame Branson surprisingly have quite a bit of depth.
The championship is actually in Chicago though. :p
But this comp has a pretty good line-up.

Is anyone else dissapointed with the lack of participating groups compared to last year?
