I'm like dying inside right now. I love show choir. I don't want to have to sit at the HS all day but I might have too. I want to see Reedsberg who I hosted my senior year and EVERYONE. I miss show choir. I'm really really excited for this show.

On Saturday, February 15, 2014, Monona Grove High School will be hosting their 14th annual “Silver Stage Invitational.” Many directors and parents praised the success of our last competitions. The combination of our beautiful new school and having the “best sound system we’ve heard at a competition,” all attributed to the success. Also, Monona is a city connected with Madison, Wisconsin. It would be great to make a weekend out of it and enjoy our beautiful city.
This year we will have three classes.
Single-Gender High School
Class A High School: For a developing, small, or “JV” show choir. This could be an excellent opportunity for small schools or schools with two show choirs
Open Class High School: For larger schools or well established competitive show choirs
Our format for the day will be as follows:
-Warm up in our beautiful auditorium with a full competition platform set up.
-An all day preliminary competition will run throughout the day.
-Live clinician feedback to interact and work with your group in our choral/dance room.
-The six competing groups will perform in the evening finals.
-We will be using a set stage with a raised stage 40’ wide and 40’ deep. On that stage you will have approximately 12 feet in front, then a four tier set of platforms each tier being 4’ deep and 32’ wide. The height of the four tiers will be 8”, 16”, 24”, and 32”.
-There will be a separate solo competition in our beautiful auditorium. Each group is limited to five soloists. The top male and female soloist will perform prior to the evening sing-off.
-All competing groups will be eligible for: Best Vocal Ensemble, Best Crew, Outstanding female and male soloist within a group, and Best Instrumental Group.
We will be accepting only 19 show choirs in total, and reservations will be filled on a first come first serve basis. The entry fees are $275.00 and $20.00 per soloist/duet.
