From what I've heard Judges are:

Nancy Benko (Slife)
Mike Crandall
Gerald Kreitzer
Ron Jones- Finals

Can someone confirm this?

Yes, that is correct. Ron Jones is providing critiques during the day and being added as a finals judge.

This is a tough one:

Solon
Findlay
ETC
Those are the only three spots I can feel confidant saying.

Nitro recently beat Beavercreek.
Beavercreek beat Garfield in another competition.
But Garfield Heights beat Nitro.
North Royalton and Medina scored very closely at Central Crossing (though Medina did come out ahead), and Medina has beaten Beavercreek and Garfield.
And North Royalton and Garfield have both already beaten Olentangy.
BUT Walsh pulled ahead of North Royalton at Cuyahoga Falls.

I personally do not find this competition predictable. But thatll be what makes it interesting!

Best of Luck to all the competing teams!! Its gonna be a nail biter!

I feel like nitro, Beavercreek, Garfield, north royalton, and Walsh are gonna have to fight or the last couple spots, IT' LL BE A CLOSE ONE!!!

I think all of this equals to one heck of a competition. I can't wait to see all of this talent. So many outstanding groups will be attending which means there will be a lot of talent going home early and nobody should feel down about that. This is just going to be one of those competitions. Best of luck to everyone!!!

Last night, Nitro beat got second to poca and best band at hurricane beating piqua and beavercreek so it's going to be extremely close
Lets not forget about ETC trumping Findlay last night. That makes this comp even more exciting!

One of the things I love about the Medina Midwest Showcase, besides its palatial school and amazing food, is the caliber of groups it attracts. In the four years the competition has been in existence, no school has ever won twice or sweep the competition. With that being said, here are my predictions:

GC: Solon
1RU: Findlay
2RU: ETC
3RU: Beavercreek
4RU: Nitro
5RU: Olentangy

I am hesitant to predict caption awards because like I said, no single group has ever had a complete sweep at this competition, though I do believe Findlay and Solon are very much in the running for the major caption awards.
And grant eternal reign to live feeds.

Now, im just going out on a limb here, but I think Solon may get best combo here. I mean it's just a hunch, don't quote me on it

Although it is more fun to watch great show choirs in person (851 Weymouth Rd, Medina, $10 daytime or finals, $15 full day...hint...), we are planning to run our outstanding live stream yet again this year! Check us out on Facebook - www.facebook.com/medinamidwestshowcase
Or Twitter @medinamidwest and @medinachoir
Thank you to all of the great show choirs who are planning to share their shows with us next Saturday!

^ Thanks for the schedule! It's silly how excited I get when an Ohio competition has a schedule with all the information I need.

This competition line-up is fantastic! Seriously, so good! This is going to be a great day of show choir at Medina! There's also a planned livestream, right? http://www.ustream.tv/channel/medinamidwestshowcase

Mark your calendars now - the 2014 Medina Midwest Showcase will occur on Saturday, February 15, 2014.

The Medina Midwest Showcase features:
-one of show choir's nicest venues - a modern 1,200 seat auditorium with balcony seating for great views
-exciting decorations and lighting throughout the school, an evenly lit performance stage, and an option for show choirs to customize some of their performance lighting
-a smaller performance venue that will host a concert choir division (pending registrations) and a solo competition
-a large scene shop and stage wing area for sets and costumes
-critique sessions following performance
-beautiful glass awards and a number of fun caption awards
-a lot of concession and snack options
-2 host rooms for participating schools
-a directors lounge with complementary food

We are now accepting applications from high school show, middle school show, and concert choirs interested in participating in the Showcase. Please download our form using the following link (form is located on the "DIRECTOR INFORMATION" page):
