They were prelim awards. They went to straight rankings at night.

Was band score factored in or something? How do you win best vocals and Choreo and not get GC?

Prelims:
GC: Colerain (Best Vocals, Best Choreography- tie, Best Band)
1RU: Teays Valley (Best Choreography- tie, People's Choice)
2RU: Anderson Mixed
3RU: Edgewood
4RU: Olentangy Orange

**The Only Thing I'm not sure of are Solo Comp Winners or Best Male/Female Soloists in Show. This should still help though.

Finals:
GC: Teays Valley
1RU: Colerain
2RU: Anderson Mixed
3RU: Edgewood
4RU: Olentangy Orange

Thanks for the info, Chris - that definitely helps!

Oof, that's gotta sting being first in prelims with all three captions and then slipping into second in the evening round. Then again, I bet Teays Valley was tickled pink! I remember watching diving during the Olympics last year and from round to round seeing the placements shift and people get left out of successive rounds as a result. It's a lesson for everyone: you've got to bring your best every time you step on the stage!

It wasn't announced, but Teays actually tied Colerain for best choreography. Congrats to all the choirs! Such talent!

All I know is that TV won. Not that it will help you.

It wasn't Olentangy Keynotes. It was Olentangy Orange Revolution. And they didn't rank in the night show. They ended up scoring the groups. Teays Valley did outstanding. Colerain was phenomenal as usual and I sort of feel bad for them. Going home with best vocals and choreography and second place...wow. Everyone did great though and it was very close competition. I couldn't have made the final call.

This is kind of a battle of the underdogs situation! I wish I could have stayed for finals though.

I was very impressed with how organized this was, especially since this is the first competition either has hosted. However it kind of bothered me how none of the members of the host groups were dressed up, but maybe I'm picky.

I'm glad to hear it was really organized! I was surprised when I heard they weren't dressing up as well, but at least they were all uniform.

They are also ranking in the night show rather than scoring so this shall be interesting.

I know scores right now are very close.

Colerain 6 points up from second.
Teays Valley 6 points up from third.
Anderson 9 points up from fourth.

Colerain won Choreo and Vocals.
Anderson won crew and Zach Scott (anderson) won the solo comp on behalf of the males.
Colerain won band.
Teays Valley won peoples choice.

What I've heard about finalists, in no particular order:

Colerain
Teays Valley
Edgewood
Anderson
Olentangy

I hope this is correct!

My bad, thanks for the catch and for the fix Patrick. There are far too many "Edgewood"s in the show choir system.
Heh, yeah, I've definitely mixed them up when entering stuff in before, too.

Edgewood Music Warehouse should be Edgewood Choraliers.
