I just realized that the top 2 from every class made it to finals. You don't see that too much.

goodness it breaks my heart to see that people thought luers was rude or obnoxious. im taken aback by it. i have such pride in our demeanor and i think that all we were attempting was to be professional in order to be taken seriously. were coming out of the woodwork quickly and i know that not everyone will be a fan. we've worked so hard this year, so very hard, and i just couldn't ever think we hadn't simply reaped the benefit of that work. congrats my choir, ive never been so proud of you.

Congrats to Bishop Luers for your win, it was deserved. Although I did not attend finals I did attend prelims and awards.. The prelims show was the highlight of my day because I knew I would be on the edge of my seat and entertained..and I was. However, in awards I was a little turned off by the unsportsman like behavior.. Oh and I congratulated like 10 of you and you ignored me...rude. Other than that Congrats. *Not all of you were this way, some of you were quite pleasant.

can i just ask what our unsportsmen like behavior was? because we really pride ourselves in being good sports about anything, so when we read this on the way home, we were all like WHAT?! i know we tend to get a little loud and crazy, but it's all in good fun.

Has it ever occurred to you that they were in the zone? Or they follow the saying "don't talk to strangers"?

I just got a lot of arrogant vibes from some people, for example some members of the group would point to themselves before an award was announced, which is why I was turned off, because that isn't exactly polite. Like I said this was NOT, by any means, the entire group.. However, it does reflect upon the group as a whole in my opinion. I mean I will be the first to admit that I looooooovvvvveeeeddd the show and that I was on the edge of my seat, literally, and that rarely happens for me. I am a fan, don't mistake me for a hater.

dont worry we dont, and hopefully you dont have to see that again. i must say we were all very exciting seeing as this was our first g.c. since 2004, and i believe only the second in history. so you might have been seeing more pointing in disbelief than in showiness. either way we appreciate you loving the show and piquas was quite fabulous itself!

It was honestly not as big of a deal as I guess I made it sound and you are probably right I must have mistook disbelief for showiness and therefore publicly withdrawal my statement. I really wasn't trying to sound rude. The GC was well deserved I didn't have to see finals to know that and in my opinion it wont be your last win.

oh and the soloists.... are you kidding me!? Speechless.. the girl in the ballad was stunning..I'll admit.. I downloaded the song and am disappointed because who ever the girl is on the track is NOT the ballad girl(name?) she cant compare.. So I am waiting for the show to pop up on youtube so I can download your version ..please contact me when she has a cd..or is on broadway or anything like that.

hehe. i dont quite believe that. when you win, its bags of fun to get congratuled. and isnt part of the fun of show choir getting congratulated by people that dont know you but still want to tell you how good of a job you did? awesome feeling. but then again im not calling them rude. big congrats you BL on a job well done.

It was a sarcastic comment to his ridiculous claims about a choir.

I'd just like to say that I COMPLETELY underestimated Colerain. You guys were amazing. All three of your soloist were awesome. You had the most complete show in my mind. I do believe that you were robbed.
Now on to Bishop Luers or what i think is one of the most rude and obnoxious groups I have ever seen. While I don't believe it was every one from your group, there were many times were I walked past some members and they were bad mouthing the other choirs, especially Colerain. I even heard some parents.
Again I want to thank Colerain for staying Classy and i'd like to say I am now a big fan.

Just curious as to what group you are associated with? As it is, i believe, required to have an association if you are a student. Thanks

I do not put my groups name because my opinions do not represent my groups opinions, however i will say my group did not compete at Findlay FEst, I was simply there to observer, and that is what i observed

What exactly was so rude?

i do not mean to get defensive, but it's just hard for me to believe what you're saying here. maybe i just don't see it within my own choir, but seriously, we are just a bunch of nerds who love show choir. a bunch of us, myself including, actually had dinner with 10 or so Colerain members; like sat down together and ate and talked and had fun, then exchanged names and numbers. but maybe i just don't see it within my own choir, but like i said in an earlier post, we really pride ourselves in being all around good sports. this is the first time we have ever won anything, so we were obviously excited, and maybe our excitedness (if thats a word) just got a little too carried away. all in all, i apologize for anything my choir said to hurt or bring down anybody. we really are just a bunch of nerds who can't believe how much people love our show. we all love being together, love being at competitions to meet new people, and we all love show choir.
once again, i apologize. we had an outstandingly great time at this competition, and we can not wait to see everyone next weekend.

Everyone is required to list their associated choir, student or not. No one's opinions represent their entire group. If you're not comfortable making a post under your associated group, don't post. But that doesn't make you exempt from associating with your choir.

I understand and maybe I had gone too far and I apologize but I still know what I heard. And to answer the other question. There were some students in the cafeteria saying that and i quote, "Marysville is our real threat, Colerain doesn't really have what it takes" now when they said this it was in a cocky sort of way. And with the parents, on my way out of the auditorium from Colerain's final performance, there were some parents sitting at the tables saying the they thought Colerain were smart enough to actually finish sentences. Again I do apologize for perhaps overreacting before.

apology excepted. but next time try and understand your hearing a couple statements and not the whole conversation as well as the big picture. im sure every choir lets loose some dumb things once in a while, no one is perfect but what a few people say does not mean the whole choir is a bunch of jerks. thanks again for your apology just try to not judge an entire group so quickly. BLHS hearts Colerain as well as Marysville, you guys rocked hard

Thank You. and If any of our choir members did offend any1 i apoligize. We dont compete to beat everyone else. We compete to do our best. So thank you for the apology.
