That does stink that that specific date was picked. Especially since Pekin and Springfield are relatively close. If it was a Northern Illinois competition it wouldn't be as bad. I understand that Directors have their own school calendars to work around as well but
it makes it really hard for already existing competitions when another school decides to start there own competition on the same date that the other school has already established as their competition. Pekin used to host their own competition several years ago and then changed to a "Festival/clinic" format. I am really glad to see that they are bringing back the competition and I hope that both Springfield and Pekin get a great turnout for their day!

That is too bad. I'm glad too! I heard that we may have finals too!

This competition will be held at Southeast High School in Springfield, IL. This year will be totally different from years past. With New and well-know judges from across the country, new sound and lighting,and a great MC with experience to enterain you between groups! All-day competition for all division ( Jr. High, Single-Gender, small and large) with finals for top five groups, and the best dance party to cap off the night!!! Also during the day they have a solo competition with the Top Best Female and Male soloist will get to peroform during finals and get a full scholarships to show choir Camps @ EIU!!!!!
