Yeah! a schedule would be nice. I have to come Saturday morning and I want to know what time I should be there.

Good luck everybody!

I have heard that New Era performs last at 4:30, so the list is probably in performance order, so you could approximately move back from there to figure out just about when people perform.

The competition is actually bigger this year. We have more choirs this year then we did last year. I suppose that the names of the schools aren't as big as some of the schools from last year. But I still think its going to be very competitive.

so...just some predictions...

GC: Beavercreek/Highland
1st RU: Highland/Beavercreek
2nd RU: Laf. Jeff. (I would put them higher but I haven't seen them? Have they competed yet this year?)
3rd RU: Norwell
4th RU: Churubusco
5th RU: ETC/Pike

I'm not sure about the last spot...Pike could be very good this year since they went from a huge choir of about 40 people to a small mixed choir. It'll be interesting to see how that turns out.

Womens
GC: Norwell
1st RU: Highland
2nd RU: Pike

Again, these are just predictions based on what I've seen this year. Good luck to EVERYONE! Does anyone have the time schedule? It would be very much appreciated it someone would post it!

Hmm, this competition is definitely a lot smaller this year.
This comp might be Highland's best bet to get a GC this season, especially coming off that rockin' performance at Franklin Central.
I haven't seen Beavercreek or Churubusco this year though, and Norwell is always solid.
Can't really make an educated prediction for this comp... can't wait though!

They are awarding awards for small mixed in prelims and taking the top 6 overall scores from the mixed groups into the finals.

Thanks for the info!

Yea so that isnt right because bellmonts coming too.. But i think we might go in large division. But im not sure either way it sucks because you have to go up against Pike who shouldnt be in small division or jefferson who is amazin so that sucks

It could be a competition where they take the top 5 (or 6) overall scores from both mixed divisons to determine the finalists.

With only 4 large mixed groups, how will finals and other awards be done?

Very good point, Andy.

Will there be a night show?

So... predictions?

I would put mine up, but I don't have any; I don't think I've seen any of the other choirs' shows this year.

QUESTION!
It says on the counterpoints website that the pike groups are going to north centrals comp.

(not that i dont support my pike groups, cuz i am an alumnus of encores, mystiques, and concert choir, but im going to north central's comp regardless. my roommate wants to go wherever pike goes.)

so if you could just clarify that would be GREAT! thanks!

We WERE going to North Central, but there were some issues with the stage that the Mystiques would be performing on that wouldn't work with their show. That's when Mr. Stainbrook pulled us out of NC and entered Anderson's competition.
