I'm really not trying to be mean, but I don't think ARGS' should be getting a large amount of 10s (i.e. perfect, superior) on a score sheet, especcially since the school that beat them every time in their division got an excellent.
I'm not trying to take anything away from them. At Hanover, we always rate our performances afterwards ad talk about if we thought the results matched what we thought about our performance.
Personally, from seeing them at our festival, I don't think they could have increased their performance THAT much...
And btw, we don't listen to the tapes...we refer to competitions as subjectivity contests, and if the judges liked us, great. If they didn't, that's fine as well.
Ryan was right. The judges at Hampton Roads were crackheads. Or at least one of them. There's three judges...it only takes one to be derranged, and I bet lots of money I know who that extremely opinionated person is.
how in the world can ARGS beat Atlee and the Freshman sensation Cosby? i mean, what kind of judges did they have at this comp? apparently not good ones since they don't know what a good show choir is. I was fully anticipating to see Cosby in the top 3. i don't know what to say. i'm kind of in shock.....
Are you telling me ARGS beat Cosby and Atlee? Because last week, we beat ARGS, and there is no way I would (this year) consider my choir better than Cosby or Atlee. Not that we don't eventually aspire to that sort of greatness, of course. But I have seen all three shows. I will have to say in the case of Atlee, if you had a good show, that personal opinion must have gotten in the way, which is too bad. And Cosby has been fabulous since day 1. Are you guys sure these results are right?

Cosby, you are magnificent. It has killed me to get thrashed by an amazing choir such as yourself weekend after weekend, but you were robbed this weekend.
Atlee, you are also magnificent. Since I came to the competition circuit three years ago, you have been one of my favorite choirs and I'm constantly amazed at HOW MANY SHOW CHOIRS YOU HAVE AT YOUR SCHOOL! Don't you people sleep? You were also robbed.
If you go to ARGS, I mean you no disrepect. But i have seen all three shows in question...some multiple times. And that's what I think.

No, neither schools had any disasters during their show. I was in the audience for Atlee and in my opinion it was one of their best shows. Also, I've watched Cosby's show on the video and I thought it was also one of our bests. I'm interested to see what the judges thought and their reasons behind giving us an Excellent
Even though the competition didn't turn out like I expected, I did enjoy watching all the other groups! Congrats to everyone and I will see you next year!
