To answer the question about Wapakoneta's scoring:

Each judge will judge their own captions both day and night. This IS a change from last year. I do accept that having everyone judge all areas in the evening was not well received. But to even use the word "crooked" in the paragraph disturbs me. And I am truly sorry, whoever you are, that your experience sucked. That certainly is not what we set out to do!

We always are on time, and have lots of room to get around and we love to host show choirs!
Each competition endeavors to provide the best atmosphere and constructive judging that they can. Sometimes things do not go as everyone would like. But that in no way implies any malice toward any group or prejudice.

This year, directors can take the daytime sheet and compare it straight up with the night time sheet. Same sheet, same judge. We feel that it will give directors a chance to see where they brought up a score, or where they didn't do quite as well if they are in finals. We think that is straight forward and easy to see how schools are placed. We hope it works as a comfortable system for all.

Vocals, Choreography, and Overall show awards will be given to the groups that have the highest TOTAL score of both the daytime and the nighttime performances. You are the best of the competition, period.

And Franklin Central- we wish you would come back. You were awesome performers and great young people. That night there was that teeny tiny thing that differentiated you. Wapak has missed finals this year by 1 point at one comp and .5 at another. It is a killer to come THAT close but not make it.

We have some new schools and some "old friends" coming this year and are looking forward to a great day.

Wapakoneta is LOCATED at the intersection of I-75 and US Route 33. We are North of Dayton and South of Lima on I-75. It is very easy to get to our town from about anywhere. Anyone that needs specific directions- just yell and I can e-mail them to you. All are welcome!

Tracey Wright- Music and More co-chair and former Show choir parent
