with the addition to Olentangysaid in post below, they should do pretty good. i saw them awhile back at their clinic/festival and they were really friggin awesome. look for them to do good (maybe even better than where i have them now!).
Vocals-Fairfield or Piqua
Choreo-Fairfield
Band-Fairfield
that's perfectly fine. i know you don't do it out of spite, Rian, and i'm sure you have your own reasons for the placements you predicted. and having never seen Wheaton-Warrenville, i'll admit that i don't know where to place them, but i wouldn't count Solon out of finals. last year they did place Fifth Runner-Up, but they were facing the challenge of a very young group and they improved tremendously as the season progressed (making finals at Teays Valley was an achievement for an any group last year).
I will be competing at this competition so i dont make predictions but i just wanted to say that the solo competition is a nice addition!! i am very excited about this competition
As of now, our lineup looks like this (in no particular order):
ETC
Solon
Vermillion
Lehman Catholic
Bishop Luers IN
Northrop IN
Fairfield
Piqua
Poca WV
Wheaton-Warrenville IL
Ravenswood WV
Edgewood (OH)
Walsh Jesuit
Mr. A
after adding River Valley to the list, there's a total of 14 competing schools, and that could mean as many as 16 choirs (River Valley and Fairfield women). that seems to be a relatively full schedule, so i wouldn't count on many other schools being added. as for which Fairfield is attending, it's the Ohio group that will be coming.
keeping all of that in mind, my best guess for predictions is as follows.
Vocals-Fairfield or Piqua
Choreo-Fairfield
Band-Fairfield
what can i say - i love Fairfield. they've quickly become The Ohio Show Choir and i expect to be thoroughly impressed with their show when i see it in January. however, both Piqua and ETC were very well prepared for last year's competition. Northrop is difficult to place with their being one of the few Indiana groups, but they were very clean at Piqua last year, so i expect them to do well. i can also see a couple other groups besides Poca and Solon grabbing a finals position, namely Bishop Luers, Edgewood and Wheaton-Warrenville (have never seen last group, but i hear good things).

i've heard that twinsburg is coming...any truth to this??
twinsburg will not be attending this year, they will not be attending Onalaska either, they had a conflict for their concert band, they have a big competition, so a lot of singer dancers plus combo would all miss. I was sad when i heard that
my guess as to why they're not returning would be because Edgewood's Contest of Champions was moved up to the same weekend, and when i was in the group, we liked to venture over into Indiana/Illinois to compete at least once a season.
that's understandable, but kinda sucks 2....it would be nice 2 see them be able 2 defend their title ya know??

The only groups I have seen out of the list of groups supposedly attending are Vermillion, Ravenswood, Poca, and Edgewood...I guess there are a lot of great choirs out there that I havn't seen yet...Anyway, I am sure that this competition will be nothing short of fantastic!

so all of the finalists from last year are returning with the exception of Teays Valley, who i'm told has a conflict of some kind. but with the addition of several extremely competitive groups like Fairfield, Northrop and Poca, Marysville is looking to be a much tougher competition than in previous years.
