Big thanks to Rian Whitman and Teays Valley for being one of 10 competitions around the USA that are going to be doing fund-raising and raising awareness of the global water crisis at their event for Thirst Project! Last weekend, between HOA Chicago and Daniel Hand, we were able to raise nearly $1,000 to give people in Swaziland safe, clean water for a lifetime.
Thirst is the world's leading youth water organization, activating over 700,000 students to participate in events nationwide since 2008 (thirstproject.org).
My BIG TIME THANKS to the boosters, students and director of this competition for deciding to take a day of tough competition, and add to it a spirit of kindness...of helping others...of being role models...and of encouraging people to help the suffering....GO TEAYS!!!!!
